Wedding Officiant in York Region
Sophisticated city celebrations, country golf-course weddings, and rural barn ceremonies, all within an hour of Maureen's Durham base.
Getting married in York.
York Region stretches north of Toronto from Markham and Vaughan up through Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, and into the rolling countryside around Uxbridge, Stouffville, and King City. The region offers a striking mix: the polished hospitality of Markham's convention centres and luxury hotels, the rural elegance of Uxbridge horse country, and historic small-town charm in places like Aurora and Sutton.
Marriage licences are issued by each individual municipality, so couples should apply at the city or town clerk's office where they live or where they're getting married. Maureen travels across York every season, from black-tie ballrooms in Markham to weathered-barn weddings in Uxbridge, and brings the same warm, personal approach to each one.

Ceremony venues by style
York's strength is its breadth. Luxury hotel ballrooms shine across Markham; country golf clubs like Wooden Sticks (Uxbridge), Angus Glen, and Eagles Nest deliver effortless elegance; historic resort weddings happen lakeside at The Briars; and modern banquet celebrations thrive at the Markham Convention Centre and Bellvue Manor, especially for large multicultural weddings.
Travel and rehearsals
York Region is within Maureen's standard service area, with travel from her Durham base typically 30 to 60 minutes depending on the city. Up to 60 km of return travel is included in standard pricing; venues beyond that, including the far north of York (Sutton, Mount Albert, Holland Landing), carry a modest travel fee, confirmed at booking. Rehearsals are typically scheduled on a weeknight or Friday evening, ideally at the actual ceremony venue.
